Arthur Andrews Athletic Therapist
  • Athletic Therapist, Strength and Conditioning Specialist
    B.AET, CAT(C), NSCA-CSCS, FMS

    Arthur has been an athlete or coaching in high performance sport for 12 years. Starting summer training back in 2010 with Factory Hockey Development. Arthur continued with hockey and summer training at Train Primal in Castlegar where he both trained, and mentored under Darren Pottle, Steve Junker, and Shauna Leduc. Arthur was fortunate enough to both train alongside and coach Junior, NCAA, AHL, and NHL players.

    Arthur has worked with athletes in a wide variety of sports both in the gym, and on the table as an athletic therapist. Arthur also has experience with the “Occupational Athlete” population and was a key part of developing and managing a workplace injury and prevention and management program with BC Wildfire Service.

    Arthur is also the head strength and conditioning coach and athletic therapist for the Nelson Leafs (KIJHL)

    Arthur is unique in his ability to understand human movement and injury prevention through his clinical skills, and applying that to strength and conditioning and the performance realm.

    Joey has trained with—and been certified by—top strength and conditioning coaches in their fields, including Joe DeFranco (world-renowned strength and conditioning coach and owner of Defranco’s training systems) and Jim Smith (the world-renowned CPPS certification was called “the best curriculum for trainers we’ve ever seen” by Muscle & Fitness magazine).

    Joe’s training techniques have been featured in the NY Times best-selling book, Tim Ferris’s, The 4-Hour Body, as well as Men’s Health Magazine, Men’s Fitness Magazine, ESPN and many more. His resume includes NFL players from all 32 teams, MLB & NBA players, UFC fighters, Olympic athletes and high school & college All-Americans.
